'The Postmodernnaires' are the hottest new ticket in town. This extremely polished act are set to make waves on the north east music scene and indeed at venues across the length and breadth of the U.K.
Led by M/D and trumpet maestro Ross Laing are recreating and re-imagining versions of some of the most popular songs of the last two decades and adding a classic 1920's style mix of swing, jazz and blues to these contemporary songs.
The seven piece outfit are individually very experienced and boast some highly impressive accolades, as a collective they look set to achieve great success with this new project. The show is so unique and incredibly entertaining, it's an exciting time for all.
Ross is the founder member and MD of The Postmodernaires! As a Professional Freelance Trumpet player he is also currently working on many projects and sessions throughout the UK. Whilst being the trumpet player for former A1 Boy Band front man Paul Marazzi, he is currently touring the UK, working alongside bands such as S-Club 7, 911, Five, Blazing Squad, Damage, Steps, East 17, The Overtones and many more. Additionally, he frequently works in Theatre Pit Orchestras throughout the UK and on Tour, including such production tours as The Sound of Music, The Full Monty, The Adams Family and Grease. Corporate Functions and Weddings are also a part of his comprehensive career as a musician.
Ross also recently announced that he is now an official Endorser of Warburton Music Products.

Louise hails from the East End of Newcastle, growing up in the family home listening to the sounds of soul, particularly from the 70s era.
In her late teens she began to work the local pubs and clubs of the North East, winning local song contests and building up a reputation as a young Aretha Franklin with her smooth tones, Louise has worked in some of the countries top venues, such as ‘229’ London and the Jazz Café Soho along side her band ‘Soulutions’ showcasing their original track’s such as ‘Listen’ which has been muted as the soul track of 2014 and has been acclaimed not only in this country but has also received rave reviews in Europe and in the States. Soulutions first album 'Destiny' was released in 2016, this was followed by the singles 'I Got To Party' and 'Thankful' both of which went to number one in the Solar Radio Sweet Rhythms Chart and the UK Soul Chart, and both have been mixed by the legendary USA DJ John Morales.

A seasoned professional bass player with a unique style and image Rev Parker has performed with some of the best high profile acts over the past 30 years
Including Punching Holes, 6M$M, The Shelley Stevens Show, Colin Barbers Dublin Raiders, House of Fun, Chaser, The Paul Marazzi Band (ex 90's Boyband A1) also touring and recording with EM shows too many to name.
He is well known as a rock pop funk punk soul blues and Motown performer but The Postmodernaires have let him explore new avenues into Swing and Jazz allowing him to put down his guitar and pick up the upright electric bass.
The Reverend Parker
Tom is the resident Drummer for the Postmodernaires. He has been playing the drums since the age of 4. A Professional Session Drummer specialising in Musical Theatre whilst also taking on sessions for former A1 Boy Band Member Paul Marazzi, and many other acts within the North-East. Over the years he has played alongside the likes of Scouting For Girls, Stooshe, S Club, Blazing Squad, The Overtones, Bobby Crush and Faye Tozer just to name a few.

Tom Shorten - Drums
Andrew is 31 and lives in South Shields. He began piano lessons at the age of 8 and has never looked back since, accompanying for many choirs and groups including Northern Proud Voices, Spontaneous Wrecks Improv and the popular cabaret group ‘Encore’. Andrew works in many primary schools around South Tyneside teaching singing and piano. He also composes for schools and this year sees his first published musical with Starshine music! Bringing a fresh spin on pop classics and jazzing up the oldies is right up his street! He is very excited about being apart of The Postmodernaires.
D Saxman, taught by the renound Jazz player Tommy Moran, he later went on to study Music at Newcastle College. Dave has played with most of the North East's top bands and has been a busy musician for many years. A former member of The original legendary Ant Hill Mob, The Jed Fry Band, Lovetrain, The Andrew Kerry Association, Hipoperation, Minnie and the Victors, Interzone 4, The New Jazz Quartet, Jeel Duo, Gynoserous to name a few. He is known to be a player of many styles and a exiting soloist.
Dave is a welcome new adittion to The Postmodernaires and is looking forward to hit the road.
Davey 'SAX' Keighley
Jay began brass lessons at the age of 8 and later went on to study music at Newcastle College and Salford University. Over the years he has regularly played in a number of music venues including Royal Albert Hall, Symphony Hall Birmingham and The Sage theatre as well as many others. Also frequently works in Theatre Pit Orchestra playing in numerous production such as, The Producers, Pricilla Queen of the Desert, The Addams Family and Les Miserable. Jay is really excited about being apart of The Postmodernaires and in particular sharing the stage once again with Rossylove!! and Davy Sax!!
Johnny 'Bluehat' Davis first picked up a saxophone at the age of twelve, since then has played and recorded with artists far and wide, in a range of styles spanning the musical spectrum, from hip hop/drum and bass producer Featurecast, to Rock & Roll legend Roger Daltrey, he even bagged an invite from The Blues Brothers to play with the original soul man himself, Steve Cropper at Ronnie Scott's. He is now thrilled to be a member of The Postmodernaires.
Johnny 'Bluehat' Davis
When not working hard in the Postmodernaires camp, David enjoys tenures with an eclectic array of projects including SouLutions, Northern Monkey Brass Band, Ska-Toons North East and house oompah band jobs at Bierkeller venues up and down the country.
David has nurtured a love of jazz from his work with Jambone, Northumberland County Jazz Orchestra, many a jam session and attendance of Sage Gateshead/University of Sunderland’s BMus in Jazz, Popular and Commercial Music.
David also enjoys gaming, arranging and wondering where the buffet is.
